For those who pre-ordered Valve’s Left 4 Dead 2 the Demo went live on the XBL Marketplace yesterday. The PC demo hit today so start downloading and take a look at the upcoming sequel. I got a chance to play the Xbox 360 version and was surprised at the changes and the look of the game. Valve really made some great changes to make it a bit more realistic and less hand-holding while playing. Please remember this is for those who pre-ordered only Gold XBL members will have a chance to play the demo in early November.

October 22nd, 2009 Rich Reed No comments

San Andres had Base jumping and it was popular and a fun feature. When GTA IV hit the game was great but sadly they did not allow you to base jump anymore. Now Rockstar sent over this clip that shows the new base jumping feature in the multiplayer mode when you buy the new DLC The Balled of Gay Tony which is being released both as a double episode retail disc and on the XBL marketplace. You must be over the age of 21 to watch enter your birth date and enjoy this clip. You’ll see the teaser for the upcoming contest on the Social Club teams of two will compete for the best time. Watch it though as others in your game can slow you down by using weapons and making it harder. Sounds like a cool contest to kick off the new DLC content.

Borderlands in Stores Today

October 20th, 2009 Rich Reed No comments

Gearbox and 2K Games have joined forces to bring out Boderlands a cell-shaded game that takes part RPG and part FPS genres and puts them together. The game is huge and ideal for 2-4 players in Co-Op. Tons of weapons and strange characters I only had a chance to play it for a little but so far I have enjoyed every bit of the game. I will say this is unlike any game I have played in a very long time. Mixing the two genres gives the game a new twist the Cell-Shaded animation gives Borderlands its own style. It’s also out for PS3 and the PC version should be hitting stores in about 2 weeks.

Queen to be Featured in Lego Rock Band

October 20th, 2009 Rich Reed No comments

Freddie, Brian, Deacon and Roger will all appear in Lego Rock Band. Queen will not only appear in their Lego form. They will have 2 songs “We Will Rock You” and “We are the Champions”. The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees will add to the already impressive lineup of groups and add to the sound track. I am looking forward to this one the game will be for everyone but have enough to make the adults also want to play it. The game is scheduled next month and the news ties in perfectly as today Rock Band just released the Queen 10 song DLC pack. I hope they will sell the figures as I would love to own my own set of the group as their Lego miniatures.
