The Burnout series has seen many changes since the first game made its way to the original Xbox console. I don't think even the developers knew what they had on their hands and the first game showed this. A mix of high speed racing mixed with rewards for crashing? Talk about a confusing game, but after the second and third installment Burnout finally found the right balance. Then Burnout Revenge promised to be the ultimate game of the series but was plagued with several issues including the loading times. In the crash events you would sit for 20 minutes waiting for the server to sync up. This hurt the game. The game's formula needed something different. The question is this: Does Burnout Paradise have the right formula to make it the ultimate game of the series? Read the full review and find out.

Back in the 90's Wing Commander set the bar for the cinematic shooter genre. The series had everything fans wanted including deep characters that were easy to root for or to hate and a great storyline. I would have to say this was my favorite series for the genre and still is to this day.

Rally racing games are not as common on the Xbox 360. Perhaps it's due to the way the sport is or maybe they are just harder to create. My favorite Rally game was Ralli Sport Challenge 2, but as we all know the series was cancelled when Xbox decided to sell their sports games.

When I first heard about the release of a Conan the Barbarian game on the 360, I was a bit worried. I enjoy a good fighting game but my fear was that the game would be molded after the Conan portrayed by Arnold Schwarzenegger. While he did a good job looking like Conan, he never really fit the true character created by Robert E. Howard. I also wondered if they would create a decent story for the game. Fighting and slashing is great but without a reason behind it could ruin a game like this. After playing the game, I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. Read the Full Review of Conan to find out why.

Mascot games fall under two types: really fun to play and don't bother playing. While this sounds harsh, it's the truth. At one time a game starring Crash Bandicoot was a blast to play and enjoyable. The problem is that most mascot games tend to make a mistake or the developers think the character alone sells the game and the game begins to suffer. The last game featuring Crash lacked anything new for fans of the platformer genre. Read the full review of Crash of the Titans and see if this one breaks the cycle.

Let's be real here, we talked about Tiger Woods 08 on our podcasts and we really enjoy golf games. So now that Tiger Woods is the only golfing game out for the Xbox 360, it's going to get looked at in a different way. It may seem unfair but when you have the only golf title out there, it comes with benefits and some responsibilities. When I first saw the game, it was under a controlled situation. I was at EA's Tiburon Studios and had the developers answering questions and making comments.

2K has had the bragging rights for the last few years when it comes to their hockey franchise. Each year it has outshined and outdone the competition giving gamers the most for their money. The 2K brand of hockey was always the one to watch for. Being a Hockey fan and someone who has a love for the sport, I try to be fair in the reviews, but I also know what seems realistic and what seems not to fit. NHL 2K was always known for its great control, deep defensive plays and outstanding graphics. Can they keep the streak going this year? Read the Full NHL 2K8 Review and you maybe a bit surprised at what I have to say.

Last year EA's FIFA series took a giant step forward to being a well rounded game. After attending the community event last year for FIFA and seeing the final retail game, I was impressed. In past versions you never had control of the ball or many options in defensive plays. Fortunately, this was not the case last year. This year once again I was invited to EA to take a look at the game and have time with the team.

This time of year we try to review more than games since the holidays are over and CES has just passed. When we see a new product that is cool, we like to review it. Just about everyone owns an iPod, MP3 Player or a portable DVD player and if not they have a laptop to enjoy music and DVD’s on while traveling. The iPod is great, but my biggest complaint is the earbuds that comes packaged with them. While they are stylish and have that signature look, for me having something crammed in my ear is just uncomfortable.

Here at Xboxsolution we are at our computers at odd hours of the day and for long periods of time. Since we are spending so much time at our computers, especially around this time of year, we are fortunate that the PC has become more than just for work or gaming. During those many hours, I love to listen to music while writing and working. Having the right speakers is important.
