What Is The Diffrence Between A Xbox 360 And A Xbox 360 Arcade?

Im getting a xbox 360 arcade for my birthday and i wanted to know the differences.My friend said a xbox 360 arcade can’t play online is that true?

Let me just say, you can play Xbox Live on the Arcade. I was playing on Xbox Live on my Arcade only two days ago.
The crucial difference between the Arcade and the Pro is the lack of a hard drive on the Arcade. On the Pro, you are given a 60GB hard drive. On the Arcade, you are given 256MB. You need storage space for gamer profiles, game saves, downloads from Xbox Live, etc. Trust me, 256MB fills up quickly, and you will definitely require a hard drive sooner or later, especially if you want to connect to Xbox Live.
Other differences are in the game bundled and HD cables missing in the Arcade.
yea a arcade has no hard drive witch is kinda a problem becasue u have limited room to save things on. i would recommend a pro with the 60 gig harddrive. i have a 60 gig pro and it is really good. my friend has a arcade and ran out of space on the memory card so he bought a hard drive, he tried to copy everything from the memory card to the hard drive and it deleted all his achievements and everything.
they also have different disk readers/trays. and the pro comes with hd cables
it can play online ur friend is an idiot. the difference is that the arcade has more arcade game but no hard drive just a memory card. i would suggest getting a hard drive because the memory card can not store a lot of mega bytes and u may also want to buy things so get the hard drive and store more things

if you are buying an xbox 360 arcade and you live in UK go onto GAME website and buy the starter pack. its 60 pounds and you get 60gb harddrive headset 3 months live member ship and ethernet cable.
The XBOX 360 Arcade is a down graded XBOX 360
arcade just doesnt come with a hard drive everythign else is the same (pretty much)
