How To Connect My Xbox 360 To The Internet Through My Pc?
I am trying to connect my 360 to the internet. The router is two floors down so plugging directly into it is not an option. Is there a way to use the internet from my computer to plug my xbox in to my pc and use the internet that way? If not, what kind of router can I buy that would work with an xbox wireless adapter? I appreciate your help.

You can Network it to your computer/laptop.
There are many tutorials on how to do it on YOUTUBE, here is a link to one of them. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uAw6xVN9v…
The only downside to this is that your computer/laptop has to be powered on and for the duration for your Xbox360 to be able to go online
Also, you don’t have to pay $100 dollars for the Xbox360 wireless adaptor, if you can get your hands on the original Xbox Wireless-G adaptor, which should be selling for dirt cheap, because the original Xbox is discontinued, but it will work with the Xbox360.

The only drawbacks are the original xbox adapter only supports WEP encryption and has an 802.11b/g radio, whereas the 360 adapter supports WEP and WPA-PSK encryption and can connect to a 802.11b/g or 802.11a router/access point.http://www.gamespot.com/pages/forums/sho…
Likewise you can use an ethernet extender:

Go wireless! I'm just about in the same situation. I had to change our (downstairs) router to wireless, to be able to connect to it from upstairs with the 360.
