i downloaded the games I just dont know where to go from there I try using convertx to dvd but I can get any of the files in there to convert them

@(77-54 +3.5) Nick u will defntly need a disk, bkz my 360 always request for a disk whn i play from the hard drive and i have to instert it in order to play...unless ofkz u've got ur own way of playing wthout disk..let me knw hw????

I have chessmaster for xbox and of course it is not compatible with xbox360 because seems to be no patch out to allow it to run on xbox 360 like most of the old xbox games will after updating the 360.

The only option seems to go on line with xbox live which I am not interested in doing because of the small number of players on there and I play online through other better quality server providers through the internet.

I would like to burn chessmaster live onto a cd or purchase a cd with the program and run it on my xbox 360 the same as I did with Chessmaster for the old xbox. OR better woudl be a patch to allow my old chessmaster to run on my 360.

You cant. You download the game on your XBOX 360 hard drive and play the game from your hard drive. You save the time and energy of getting up and swapping titles because the game is on the hard drive. Also it eliminates the chance of ruining games via scratches etc.

You just Download them to your Hard Drive and play them from your Hard Drive. You don’t need a disk to play it.

You have to have your system modified. Basically, someone reflashes the firmware on the 360’s DVD drive so that it gets rid of the protection that normally does not allow the system to boot backup copies of games. You can probably find someone in your area on Craigslist.com to do it for you, I paid about $40 to get it done to mine.
Afterwards, you just download the game’s ISO file, burn it to a DVD+R DL disc, and it works just like the original disc
Also, by far the easiest and fastest way to download games is to get a $10/mo Megashares account and download the games from forum links. The games are all around 7gb each, so torrents can be a pain, especially if its an older game with few seeders on it.
-Just a note: to the guy that said you can play them off of the hard drive, you can only do that with the original Xbox, not the 360.
