You can hook the xbox 360 to a dvr, dvd, pc input along with your monitor to output on any of these devices that have available inputs and outputs.
note: DVI will give you the same video quality as HDMI, in addition you will need rca cables for sound by syncing it on to the same input as the video. There will be a loss of quality with sound compared to HDMI audio.
Ok, first of all…
@bin: Screen Recorder won’t do this. He’s not recording something running on his computer. He’s connecting his 360 directly to his monitor using HDMI, using the monitor as a display. The computer isn’t involved.
easton J has the right answer: you need a capture card. If you really want to record from the 360’s HDMI output, you need a card like the BlackMagic Intensity:

Easton is right about DVI and HDMI: HDMI carries video and audio, DVI just audio. However, as the 360 has an HDMI port but no DVI port it’s not terribly relevant. Just use HDMI.
well you just need to purchase a capture card and instal it into ur computer then thier fairly cheap and wont suck up your time setting up al the equipment everybody else is recomending goodluck
