Bethesda Game Studios has released the first exclusive (PC and Xbox 360) DLC episode for Fallout 3. For 800 MS points you get to enter a simulation within the game to experience one of the epic battles in the Fallout universe. Besides the new quests, weapons, and items; there are 4 new achievements worth 100 gamerscore points total.
New clothing items for avatars are available now on your Xbox 360 dashboard. This new set of clothing is based on the European National Football (Soccer) teams. You can find a complete list of the sport shirts available on Major Nelson’s blog post.
The Grateful Dead Pack 02 is available now on the Xbox Live Marketplace for 800 MS points. This Rock Band pack includes the following 6 songs: Fire on the Mountain, Doin’ That Rag, Cold Rain and Snow, Uncle John’s Band, Hell in a Bucket and Don’t Ease Me In. Each song is also available individually for 160 MS points each.
A new Bruce Springsteen Track Pack for Guitar Hero: World Tour is available now on the Xbox Live Marketplace. The Track Pack includes Born to Run and My Lucky Lady and is free of charge until February 5th as pointed out by Major Nelson on Twitter.
Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has announced that F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin has gone gold for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and the PC. The game ships to retailers on February 10th and the single player demo is available now on the Xbox Live Marketplace.
Tom Clancy’s HAWX is set to be released on March 3th, and in preparation for this new Clancy title Ubisoft has released new details about the Enhanced Reality System (ERS) system that will give gamers the ability to go from novices into experienced pilots.
Ubisoft announced today that they will publish a book titled Designing Wargames: The Official Far Cry 2 Map Editing Guide in a partnership with Charles River Media. The book will be written by gamers, for gamers and is scheduled to be published in the Spring of 2009.
Capcom has exclusively released the demo for Resident Evil 5 on the Xbox Live Marketplace today. Gold subscribers are able to download the demo today, while Silver members will be granted access to the demo starting January 29th. The demo includes 3 levels that can be played both in single-player mode, or 2-player co-op via Xbox Live.
Midway announced that approximately 1.8 million copies of Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe have been shipped for both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The game has also broken some internal records, including most pre-ordered Mortal Kombat title in company history.
As the date for the release date of the first DLC episode approaches, more and more information is released by Rockstar Games. As you probably know already, the first DLC episode exclusive to the Xbox 360 is called The Lost and Damned and will be released on February 17th; Rockstar has also confirmed that it will retail for 1600 MS points, or $19.99.
