Okay, Six Okay from Epic sent word that some gamers may have trouble when trying to download the special golden weapons. The main issue seems to be with the “Golden Lancer” the team is working on the issue and everyone should be able to download it tonight. This issue started today and may just be the strain of everyone on with Gears of War 2. On a related topic the Midnight and first day launch of the game seems to have gone very well. Last night around the world 20,000 retailers had Midnight events. A lot of gamers turned out for events and to get their hands on the game early. I met some very cool gamers from the MGL in PA they have a local Gears of War team and I had a good time talking with them. In LA and other places Stars from Chuck and Heroes were on hand to sign autographs and a bunch of cool giveaways. I think Epic and Microsoft will be happy with the final sales amounts for this title.
