Rock Band 2: 20 Free Songs to be Available November 4th

Okay, news from Harmonix is that those who bought Rock Band 2 and entered the code for the 20 free downloads will get their tokens starting on November 4th. I would expect that if you entered the code a little later than most you may wait a day or two but this is not been confirmed. The good news is the 20 free songs will be out on November 4th. The not so great news is that all the songs are from up and coming bands. Then again Bang Camaro was once in that list and they rock so below is the whole list if there are any changes or updates I’ll let you know.

  • The 88 – “Sons and Daughters”
  • Authority Zero – “No Regrets”
  • Between the Buried and Me – “Prequel To The Sequel”
  • The Cab – “Bounce”
  • The Chevelles – “Get It On”
  • The Cocktail Slippers – “Give It To Me”
  • Dealership – “Database Corrupted”
  • Endeverafter – “I Wanna Be Your Man”
  • The Ghost Hounds – “Ashes To Fire”
  • Hollywood Undead – “Young”
  • Kutless – “The Feeling”

I was hoping for at least a couple ‘popular’ songs.

20 more tracks is cool, and I’m sure I’ll enjoy quite a few of them.

But some of the draw of Rock Band is to play the songs you know and like.
It’s a great game to let us non-musically talented people live our dream of being a rock star.
Unfortunately some of the friends I play with only want to play songs they know, that limits my multiplayer experiences.

I’m loving the challenges and contests, so I’m sure I’ll enjoy these solo.

but even a couple ‘common’ artists songs would have been pretty cool.
Like Ozzy’s “Momma I’m coming home” or anything from No More Tears.
why not throw some Country in there, some Cash, Garth Brooks had some songs that would be fun to play.

Anyway, I’m looking forward to the extra 20 songs.

Between The Buried And Me is popular with a large group of people. If you like experimental metal, you’re going to love that song. They’re great.

Yeah, I thought BTBAM and Underoath were at least sort of popular…..

But Prequel to the Sequel will be quite the fun song to master. :)

No one has gotten there token yet I know they said yesterday and today codes would go out but something went wrong. Why they did not update this I am not sure but then again I am not there to see for myself. I am sure they will send news out if the pack is going to be delayed more than a day although they still should have said something.
