Midway Games sent word that next week gamers who own TNA iMPACT can download Petey Williams and Hot & Spicy Curry Man on November 6th for 100 Microsoft points. As an added bonus announcer Mike Tenay will also be available for download free of charge. This is the first downloadable content ever made for any wrestling game to hit the Xbox 360. I think the price is fair for additional content and should add something to the game.

EA Sports sent word over and wanted to explain why there is not been any updates to the NBA Live 365 feature. Every gamer that enters the code will start receiving updates for free the problem is that when the NBA season kicked off only six teams played. Once every team has played once the updated info will show up in the NBA Live 365 feature on October 31st. EA wanted to pass this on and are sorry for any confusion. Updates will follow you must enter the code in the manual or buy the NBA Live 365 feature from the marketplace to have access to the feature.

Gears of War 2 will be available in 7 day’s if you go to the midnight release to get the game. Seven days and counting and stores are making huge plans for the midnight release. Stores like EB, GameStop and others will be hosting tournaments handing out special limited Gears of War 2 collectables and other events. Check with your store to see what events they have lined up. Stores are not the only ones kicking into high gear no pun intended. Over at the Gears of War 2 website there is brand new content including videos, stories and of course hints on the remaining hidden Last Day Cog Tags. Justin the community manager has been working overtime adding content to the site so check it out. Next Week Xbox live will be filled with gamers playing will you be one of them?

In more Rock Band related news the new track back for Rock Band AC/DC Live track pack hits Walmarts and Sam’s Clubs on November 2nd. The exclusive deal features 18 live tracks from the group AC/DC including Shoot to Thrill and Highway to Hell. The Track pack will contain a special code that allows the owner to rip the tracks onto their Xbox 360 hard drive and this code can only be linked to one gamer tag. At $39.99 it is expensive but early word is that the tracks are mastered to sound great and this may be the only chance to get the classic songs from the band. I am not sure why they picked Walmart and Sam’s Club to be the exclusive dealers but since their new CD Black Ice is also an exclusive to the chain it makes sense. The November 2nd date is the ship date and should be in stores by Tuesday the 4th.

Okay, this is going to sound complicated so bear with me. Rumors hit the web about a new Beatles Rock Band expansion pack or possible Rock Band title for next Christmas. Even major news papers posted about this since Apple owns the rights to the collection of Beatle songs and all distribution rights. When the dust settled during the conference call this morning we know this. There is a new Beatles game coming out Christmas 2009 no platforms were mentioned and no talk about new instruments. It looks like this will be a new IP and could have important influences when the details are fully released. After all we are talking about the Beatles here. So in case you’re keeping score it’s going to be made by Harmonix and under the EA label but not a Rock Band title? Keep watching for more news on this one I am sure news will start pouring in soon enough.

When Harmonix announced that the new wireless drum kit for Rock Band 2 would allow cymbals to be added, it really caught my interest. The drum kit is nice but without cymbals it just loses some of the realistic feeling. I then saw that Mad Catz would be making the cymbals for the drums and I have to be honest I had some doubts. It wasn’t because Mad Catz makes bad stuff. It was more thinking the maker of the drum kit should make the cymbals. I have tested the Mad Catz Double Expansion kit and I am really impressed. Today two new arcade titles hit the XBL Arcade the first is Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader. Based on the hit game show with 6000 questions and the chance for help and even cheat to get the correct answer. Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader is 1200 Microsoft points and even a 5th grader knows that is a bit expensive for a game. So check out the free demo first. Also available today is new free DLC content for Marble Blast Ultra a pretty cool game and now with new content a chance to replay it. Check out everything new this week on the marketplace.

Scene it? Box Office Smash the follow up to Lights, camera, action is now out and on store shelves everywhere in North America. The game comes in two versions the first has 4 big red button pads including batteries for each controller for $59.99. Those gamers that already own Lights, camera, action can buy just the game alone for $39.99. I tried out the demo and it looked interesting I enjoy movie trivia and with the online gameplay this time I will be picking this one up myself.

Microsoft just released pricing for the 60 Gig hard drive bundle coming out on November 19th. The Live Starter Pack comes with a 3 month Xbox live card, Headset, Ethernet cable and the 60 GB hard drive for $99.99. This is geared to those not already Xbox live members but the price seems rather high when the 120 GB hard drive sells at $149.99.

For retailers it’s the 4th sales quarter and with the economy in its current situation there is a mad rush to gain sales. We all have seen the list of games being released and its going to be an expensive season. There is another season that begins this time of year the Scam Season. You turn on your Xbox 360 and see a text message from someone you know and trust. It say’s “Hey Halo 3 Special Armor is available visit this site and get a token but hurry” it sounds too good to be true because it is!
