Xbox Live Maintenance Schedule for September 29th
Xbox Live will be down for 24 hours starting at 12:10 PST – 11:59 PST on September 29th. During this time Xbox live and Xbox.com will not be working as they get ready for the new update. This is all the news we have and this does not mean after the scheduled work is done that the update will be up. If we get more news on an update release we will let you know.

They got it back up and yes a few hours past the time. You never count on the time they give as being accurate.
