I have been getting some questions about how to export the songs from Rock Band 1 to use with Rock Band 2. I am also getting questions about the 20 free download code in the game manual. Here is how to export the songs from Rock Band 1 first put in the game disc and go to the options you will see export songs. Click this and you will be asked to buy a onetime key for 400 Microsoft points. After downloading the key the process will start and you need 1.5 gigs of hard drive space free. It should take about 10 minutes and the only songs being ripped are from the RB 1 game disc.

Now as far as the 20 free downloads the site is still not live to put in the code your Xbox live information and a valid email address yet. When it goes live I will post that so everyone knows and you will get a code that you redeem on the marketplace. I am waiting for more details if you get to pick songs or if it’s a special bundle. So stay tune you need to export the songs or while online your friends will not be able to pick songs from the Rock Band 1 song set that are on the disc.
