I have received a lot of questions regarding Rock Band 2 and here are some answers. Today Harmonix, MTV Games and EA sent word that Rock Band 2 the game is on its way to stores in North America in time for this Sunday’s Release date. Please note with any release on a Sunday check the store you are going to and make sure it’s there. We all want to get our hands on the new game and with the impressive band line up on the disc itself it should not disappoint.

I also have some information about the separate instruments the Wireless guitar and Drum set should be in stores this week some stores may get them on Sunday as well but again check first. The pricing for the Wireless guitar is $69.99 and the Wireless drum kit is $89.99. Mad Catz also has a few third party instruments already in stores and shipping this week as well. The Fender Bass will be $69.99 and the ION Drum Kit is $299.99 please note to use this as a real electronic kit you will have to buy an additional conversion kit no price was given. Also out in some stores is the Mad Catz Microphone $59.99.

You do not need to buy the new bundle or instruments to play Rock Band 2 and from all reports every song downloaded will convert over to Rock Band 2 some of you may have seen this option in the menu after the last update. We will have a review on the game as soon as possible and the instruments.

Please also note that pre-orders are strongly recommended for the Bundle which will have a Wireless guitar, Drum kit and a microphone the price is $189.99 and the release date is October 14th. If you bought the Fender Bass by Mad Catz already remember you need to switch the toggle to RB 2 for it to work with Rock Band 2.
