Metallica to Release Death Magnetic as DLC for Guitar Hero III
Okay, even with rumors of a possible Metallica Guitar Hero in the works I never thought I would see the day I would be posting this. It seems Metallica is going to release their 9th studio album Death Manetic and DLC for Guitar Hero III the same day Friday September 12th. The group that took on millions of fans with their Napster lawsuit is now finding out that there are new ways to deliver music. What some are calling video game history the move shows what we have been saying ever since the games hit the Xbox 360. Fans want music and the Xbox 360 is a way to get music to the fans.
While the news maybe great for fans of Metallica the price is a bit high the DLC album will be priced at 1440 Microsoft points. There will be two versions of the song Suicide & Redemption with extended guitar solos added on one version and the remaining tracks are That Was Just Your Life, The End of the Line, Broken, Beat & Scared, The Day That Never Comes, All Nightmare Long, Cyanide, The Unforgiven Ill, The Judas Kiss and My Apocalypse. Then in October when Guitar Hero World Band is released the tracks will also be compatible and nothing else to buy to use with GH World Tour. While this is a cool feature it has not been explained how tracks will be used from one game to another.
