Xbox 360 Price Drop Confirmed

If you listened to our last podcast I brought up the fact that managers of certain stores talked about strange SKU numbers for the Xbox 360. I then get word of a price drop slated for sometime in early September. Today Microsoft confirmed the price drops and here are the new prices. The Arcade without a hard drive would be $199.99 the Xbox 360 with 60 gig Hard Drive $299.99 and the Elite with the 120 gig Hard Drive is now at $399.99. While not the only place to break the story we are glad and of course this is a Holiday strike to create sales.

I would like to caution people make sure that you are getting the Xbox 360 with the 60 gig and not a left over bundle. While the news is great scams happen with mail order outlets etc. Microsoft stated that this was due to the new Netflix and the demand for more content meaning you need a bigger hard drive. While I am happy to see the drop I would love to see a drop on the 120 gig Hard Drive as well. Maybe another surprise announcement will make this come true? Any way this price drop now makes the Xbox 360 a hard bargain not to pick up for those who waited for the units to drop again. The prices are effective today and will remain this way.

Rough is it working now? Or you still need help? They got scooped all over the Internet BTW, and XBS was one of them in the podcast… anyhow, if you still have issues let Rich know and we’ll check the DB for errors. Later.
