The gaming industry has a ton of outlets for networking and it’s amazing at the number of different sites. I have a facebook, Twitter, Linked and countless other sites I visit daily. It is no longer just to say hello or to post a link its tools I use to keep in the loop of the growing industry I am a part of. This does not count the contacts I get stuff from daily by Email so the networking is a growing trend.

I bring this up for a reason with all the places to network what about the home? A game night perhaps if it sounds crazy then read on. I was sent an interesting article about a new networking craze and it’s not on the internet no PC needed. It’s a group with a passion for Gears of War and a house to play it at. The interesting thing about this group they are not in the gaming industry the group is made up of screenwriters, Producers and others in the Hollywood circle. The group known as Nerd Poker plays Gears of War while testing out ideas and making deals. Perhaps I was intrigued because at times our industry normally networks.
