Penny Arcade Invades XBL Arcade This Wednesday
I know there are plenty of gamers who enjoy the humor of the comics at Penny Arcade. This Wednesday Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness, Episode One hits the XBL Arcade. The game is one of many firsts including the first 1600 Microsoft point game!
That’s right folks, the arcade game is $20.00 and while it has received praise and looks really good one has to ask is it worth the price tag? I suggest downloading the free trail first before spending the 1600 points. Also please remember the game is rated M for language and mature themes.

The demos kinda fun until you realize its ep.1 for $20. Is each episode gonna be this expensive? If so, there needs to be some real depth to it.
Will download the demo and try it out… but the price has been a hot issue with this title. The demo needs to be awesome in order for me to shell $20 for it, doubt it’ll happen
From what I hear each one will be 1600 points. It seems really high even 1200 maybe but I think this may start an expensive trend.
It will only become a trend if everyone buys it at that price. I;m not shelling 1600 on any arcade game, I only have 3 gigs as it is.
it looks like it could initially sell well, but i thimk there will be a big drop off for episode 2
This game sets have allot more in quality production values and effort put into it, as well as just being having a bit meatier gameplay. Its not quite an “arcade title”, but neither is it a full retail game.. which is where the higher price comes in. I played the demo, and even though I’ve never been a fan of the battle system this game uses, I have to admit that it was pretty fun and interesting,,might find myself buying the full version at a later date.
