EA Say’s no to Weapon Packs on XBL Marketplace for Battlefield: Bad Company
I wanted to post this since many are still asking it is true that EA mentioned that there would be DLC for weapons for the game. Many gamers myself included felt this was not fair and would create issues. EA has already started a trend of having downloads unlocking things in games without playing them. I could beat the topic with a dead horse but instead I will say what we all have said here at XBS “Paying for content already in the game is going too far” Now with that being said if gamers continue to buy the downloads they are going to keep putting them out plain and simple. However, with the upcoming Battlefield: Bad Company DICE and EA decided against the weapon packs on the marketplace.
They have set up a new website that explains how to get up to 5 bonus weapons one for each class for free. You’ll need to visit the site and earn each weapon. I think EA made the right decision and the free weapons adds a little extra incentive this is for Xbox 360 and PS3 so visit the site by clicking here and book mark it. Keep checking back as new details will be posted until all five are posted the weapons will be unlocked by codes.

Glad they decided against it, I’m not really interested much in the game… however, if this had been allowed and for some reason succesful, it would create a very crappy situation for gamers in future games. Glad to hear they decided to listen to gamers… for once
All the talk of it has left me dead for the game, that plus the lag-fest known as its beta. Will not buy, will not play.
yeah I am going to take a wait and see approach, I really hate EA online though, never had a good experience with them, BUT I like me some FPS games.
