Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots Pre-Sale Details

Today Konami release details of the pre-sale campaign for the PS3 title Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patroits. People are buying the PS3 just for this game. While I may not be one of them I have enjoyed the series over the years. Gamers have waited through the delays and the game will soon be here. You can pre-order the game in two versions the regular or the limited edition set. For a limited time pre-order either set and get a free DVD Metal Gear Solid Saga Vol.2. Inside each disc is a voucher and code to take part in the online beta once it kicks off. The Limited version also features a free Blue Ray disc loaded with bonuses and a tin case. It looks nice the price for the Limited set is $89.99 while the regular edition is priced at $59.99. Please note the Metal Gear Solid Vol. 2 DVD is limited and a participating stores only. Did I just post a PS3 story on the front page?

I recently bought and tried playing through the other MGS games, . . . sorry, I don’t get it. Maybe, they are just too dated for me, but they seem corny and have painfully long cut-scenes as well, . . no thanks.

I played one of them once as well and could not get into it.

I’m in it for the gameplay, I try my hardest to either skip the story part or go make a sammich if I can’t skip it…..Those Japenese stories with hints or gay man sex and american culture don’t mix well.. but strangely there is a group of geeks out there with homotendencies that relate and get it..more power to ya…just give me gameplay with killing thanx.

I agree with most here, I got the original Xbox version of MGS 2 I think it was? I lost interest before the first level ended.

why is ps3 crap in xbox news? Second, the MGS games are O.K., but definately not great, the actual gaming is O.K., but the convoluted stories are LAME, now if there would be an option to turn the movies off………..

@Barbie it’s there because I wrote and posted it there. Not everyone feels the same way you do. When you make or create a series as popular than feel free to knock any franchise you wish.
