I wanted to post this since many are still asking it is true that EA mentioned that there would be DLC for weapons for the game. Many gamers myself included felt this was not fair and would create issues. EA has already started a trend of having downloads unlocking things in games without playing them. I could beat the topic with a dead horse but instead I will say what we all have said here at XBS “Paying for content already in the game is going too far” Now with that being said if gamers continue to buy the downloads they are going to keep putting them out plain and simple. However, with the upcoming Battlefield: Bad Company DICE and EA decided against the weapon packs on the marketplace.

For gamers waiting to get the new Guitar: Hero Aerosmith I have the official news on pricing. The bundle featuring the game and the wireless guitar with the classic Aerosmith logo will cost $99.99. There is a catch for those wanting the faceplate you must pre-order the bundle before the release date. Personally I already have a wireless guitar and think they would make fans happy if they would sell the faceplate even for a limited time. Sadly this will not happen so you’ll need to slap down $20.00 bucks to pre-order the bundle if you want the faceplate.

Today it was announced that the new Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Variety pack has been download over a million times since the release nine days ago. This sets another record for the title in the last week. Since it was also recorded the game has sold over nine million copies multi platform. It is impressive since this is just for the Xbox marketplace and the maps are due to hit the PS3 store on the 24th.

Motley Crue is making gaming history today their brand new song Saints of Los Angeles is part of the new DLC for Rock Band. The track is going to be the first song released off their new CD but Rock Band gamers get it first. The new DLC Classic Rock 01 pack also includes Message in a Bottle by The Police, Call Me by Blonde and Simple Man by Lynyrd Skynyrd. The pack is 440 Microsoft points or 160 MS points a track. We thought the first new track would be from another band but it’s great to see artists willing to debut their songs on Rock Band first.
Note: Saints of Los Angeles is on the marketplace for 80 Microsoft points and is not part of the classic rock pack. Sorry for the mistake.
