Xbox Live Diamond Card no Longer Free?
Remember that cool Xbox Live Diamond card program for being a member of Xbox live? It promised cool deals and discounts and sadly turned out to be a major disappointment. Although the card was cool looking is it worth paying for in March? Just as news broke of Xbox Live having reached the ten million members mark. The Xbox Diamond card website has a letter explaining that they are changing owners and a new fee of $6.95 each year. I don’t know about the rest of you but I am going to have to think hard before paying for a reward program that failed to deliver since it started. Click here to read the full letter and details and then feel free to discuss this in our forums.

This is so lame I don’t even know whether I should laugh or cry… I think I’ll cry, but of laughing so much. I don’t even know where my card is, I tried to use it a couple of times, got rejected because the employees had no clue what it was, and now they want me to pay for it? Who hires these people?
Amen Andres,
I too have tried to use my diamond card with no luck. Whether due to the faulty discount system or un-educated bussinesses/employees, oh well!
I know a ton of people that got their Diamond Cards, sadly, I don’t know of a single person that has ever had the opportunity to use it. So to pay for it seems a bit idiotic.
Yep, I agree I tried to use it twice and the both places had no clue what it was or if they accepted it. I think paying for something that was supposed to be a reward is also idiotic
I tried to use it once was told that it wouldn’t work because they did not know what the hell it was.
it sucks just another way for them to make money, if it faild why are they now deciding to change it over to a new provider
it took 7 months for mine and i never enven used it… its just to look pretty…
