I have to disagree with The call of duty 4 being game of the year, You guys hsould Play mass efect then come back and make that decision. Its not really a strategic game you can free roam and shoot who you want and you can give commands to you team and the AI takes over or do nothing.
Well rough, it’s just our opinion of course. Personally my opinions run the path of multiplayer > single player games due to Xbox Live functionality. In this case I would agree with Col Blair that CoD4 is first, with Rock Band being a very close second as game of the year choice. I would then boil it down to Halo 3 and GRAW 2 coming after that. Finally I would get to the single player games, ME, Bioshock and Assassins Creed.
I Forgot about rockband and GH 3, those games appeal to a broader audience and probably more popular. I guess I can let your opinion slide being a horns fan and all ( lol )But guys every game that comes out from now on doesn’t have or need to be multy player to really good or get top honors for game of the year. I just think that should not be a huge factor in the decision making process. Why? because I am a SOONER fan and I can thats why.
I don’t base it on Xbox Live or not several factors go into my choices. With that being said both Rock Band and Cod 4 set new standards in their genres. If a game helps set a new standard then it has to be considered as a top contender. Both of the mentioned games do exactly this and are a boost to the gaming industry. I think AC deserves praise I just don’t see it as setting any new standards. It’s a topic we can debate over and over just keep in mind we never said AC was not a good game. We just agreed that the two must have games are the ones we said so far. Tune in this weekend I am sure we will touch on this more.
