By now everyone knows that the fall update will be released on December 4th. There have been many rumors of what will be included which is common when any new dashboard update hits. Microsoft sent word listing a few of the new features. Please keep in mind there maybe more than what I have been sent. For now I wanted to list them and include a link so you can all get more information on the fall update. Below is the list of main features and to read all the details and technical info click here.

  • Xbox Originals

    • This is a new service that allows you to download certain classic Xbox titles right to your hard drive for the price of 1200 Microsoft points each.

  • Inside Xbox

    • This new feature will tell you what is new on the marketplace and any new downloads and other news that gamers would want to now right from the dashboard.

  • Xbox Live Arcade Hits

    • A new add on feature of the popular Xbox Live Arcade where Classics will be featured at special prices.

  • Profile options added

    • Update your profile and change your windows live ID for those that have created another account and want to use that one it is now possible.

  • New Video Features and Codec Support

    • You will now be able to view videos from the hard drive or streaming in full screen view. They also plan on adding new support for video types not supported before. Please check the link for more details on this.

  • New Navigation System

    • The new update will also feature a new look and navigation system. It seems they will make it easier to find movies, themes and other things on the fly.
