Spike TV’s Video Game Award Show will air on December 9th at 9:00 PM EST. The annual award show is known for guest celebrities and big named hosts. This year they announced that Video Game Live will appear and play on the show. The well known group said it was an honor to be asked to perform during the show. Other guests announced are appearances by Chris Angel, Tony Hawk, Tia Carrere, Steve-O and others. More celebrities are going to be announced soon the show is one of the highest rating shows on Spike TV each year.

Fall Dashboard More Features Announced

By now everyone knows that the fall update will be released on December 4th. There have been many rumors of what will be included which is common when any new dashboard update hits. Microsoft sent word listing a few of the new features. Please keep in mind there maybe more than what I have been sent. We have talked about Rock Band in our podcasts and the review is going to be posted soon. I know many gamers that where disappointed when it was announced that Rock Band would be soled as a bundle and single game only for the launch. The separate microphone, drum kit and wireless guitar will not be available until February. It now seems Harmonix has another issue but they want people to know they are here to help. The main problem is with the PS3 version and the fact the Guitar Hero III guitar will not work with the game at the moment. Read the rest of this entry

GripShift to Race Onto XBL Arcade

Sidhe Interactive sent word that their award winning game GripShift is heading to the Xbox Live Arcade. The new Xbox Arcade version will feature HD Graphics and improved controls. It will also feature offline and online modes. No release date has been set yet.

GTA IV Trailer: Move up Ladies Hits 12-06-07

News from Rockstar games today, they announced that there is a new trailer on the way for GTA IV. The new trailer is called Move up Ladies and will be available on December 6th. In the meantime you can head over to the GTA IV official website and watch the new cover of the game being unveiled and download some extra goodies while your there. Please remember the website is for those 18 and above.

Halo 3: Xbox 360 Review

Bungie just announced the new maps that are going to hit the XBL marketplace and the Halo: Contact Harvest Novel continues to climb the New York Best sellers list. With both news items happening so close together, I wanted to get my review of Halo 3 up. I have to be honest and say Halo 2 was a complete disappointment to me as far as the single-player campaign mode. In fact even on one of our podcasts I said whoever thought it was a great idea to end the game with the “To Be Continued” should have been fired. I know I was not alone on my thoughts of the last game. It was good and had a solid online play. It just seemed like the game should have been called Halo 1.5. November Xbox B/C Update Info

For those who still have a large collection of old Xbox games and waiting for titles to be playable on the Xbox 360. You will want to check out the new Backwards Compatibility list. Games include ESPN NFL 2K5, Playboy The Mansion, Burnout 2 and GoldenEye: Rogue Agent Check out the full list here.

Ah, nothing like an old classic and a remake for arcade fans. This week Asteroids and Asteroids Deluxe a revamped version of the classic Atari game hits Xbox Live Arcade for 400 Microsoft points and you get both versions. The Deluxe version features HD visuals and new game modes. Check it out for free and then decide if you want to buy it.

Today RedOctane announced that stand alone wireless guitars will hit stores in January. Right now the only way to get on is with the bundle that includes the game. No prices have been announced but guitars for the Xbox 360 and all systems will be available right after the Christmas season. As soon as we get a price we will post it. Also in case you missed it the new Halo 3 download featuring Guitar work from Steve Vai is now on the marketplace and free to download.

Fans of the series will be happy to know the new Kingdom of Fire: Circle of Doom has gone gold. To celebrate Microsoft and BLUESIDE are offering free downloads for those who have fan sites just click here and download them for free. The new game features RPG style of play and up to four player Co-Op play on Xbox Live.
