The Cyberathlete Professional League announced that it will host a $1 million Halo 3 competition at the Extreme Winter Championships that will take place December 18th – 22nd at the Hyatt Regency in Dallas, TX.

The $1,000,000 Halo 3 competition is being organized by X Factor Tournament, a new e-sports management organization in exclusive partnership with the CPL. The winner will receive a $250K instant cash payout at the event while other prizes will be paid to at least 64 places.

Registration opens Tuesday, October 30th online at this link; there will be no pre-qualifications or previous tournament experience required.
