Halo 3 Four Player Online Co-op Confirmed

Microsoft. This reached my desk late but this is something I could not wait to post. Bungie today confirmed that Halo 3 will support 4 Player Online Co-op in addition to the regular online modes. Perhaps this answers the question of why everyone at Bungie would not comment on a 2 player Co-op mode. No matter the reasons the news is great especially for fans of the game that tend to grow a bit tired of the normal online modes.

XboxLive. The Two Arcade game Wednesdays continues tomorrow as Marathon Durandal and Spyglass Board games hit the arcade for download. Marathon Durandal is a newly revamped version of the classic FPS title. Offering an intense storyline and plenty of action for arcade fans and will cost 800 Microsoft Points. For those wanting something completely different Spyglass Board Games from the same people, who brought out Totemball on XBL Arcade, is offering their newest arcade title featuring checkers, Chess, Mancala and Reversi. This one also uses the Vision camera to chat and comminucate with other players on XBL. Spyglass board games will cost 400 Microsoft points. Not sure which game to buy? Xbox360.Fans waiting for Fable 2 to be released will want to check out the new video just released. Lionhead is proud to announce their 10th year Anniversary and Xbox Live members are getting a gift. Right now on Xbox live you can download their latest video now the information that I received has it marked as a mature video so I am not sure if the video on XBL is edited for content or not. You can also visit http://www.lionhead.com/ and watch the video there. While it’s great to see Lionhead celebrating I really wish they would announce that Fable 2 is ready for launch and I am sure many will agree with me.

Microsoft.Today I received word that the upcoming RPG title Mass Effect from Microsoft Game Studio’s and Bioware Corp. Received several nominations at E3 2007 from the Game Critics Awards. SkateSkateboarding is nothing new for videogames. Many of us here at XBS have enjoyed playing THPS series for years even online through GameSpy before Xbox Live support. The sad thing is that when one company has the market cornered, there is no reason to really raise the bar. The first three games of Tony Hawk were a blast to play and they kept my attention. While I thought Project was a step in a new direction, it still had the basic controls for the most part. I started to read about Skate and it grabbed my attention. The trailers alone were great but the question was could EA really bring something new and fresh for those who enjoy skateboarding games? Well, XBS was invited to attend the Skate Community event at EAX Studio in Vancouver. What you are about to read is a recap of the event and my impressions of the game — you maybe surprised at what I think!

Forza 2Xbox had a hard time at first convincing gamers that Forza would be a good game. This might be due to the playable demo they released. Let’s be honest, the demo released on the OXM disc looked horrible and had racing fans posting everywhere with doubts. At the time it was released I was actually with Jason and we ran out to get our copies of the game. It looked nothing like the demo or even earlier footage shown at E3. Now I am not going to say MS released a demo that looked and played poorly on purpose, but after popping in the game and playing it for the first 30 minutes, it seems that way. Once racing fans got used to the mechanics of the game, it became a favorite among many who prefer more of a realistic “Sim” racer than an arcade racer. In fact Forza was in a class of its own. While PGR offered a challenge, it was not the deep type of racing that could be found when playing Forza. MS had a hit on their hands. I make mention of the first Forza game since this leads into the very high expectations everyone has for Forza 2. Now the next challenge was the sequel. Could they deliver the same and yet somehow offer even more? Read the full Forza 2 Motorsport Review and find out.

Rumors where already circulating that EA was planning another Marvel game, and today it was confirmed that EA Chicago will develop the project. The same studio responsible for Fight Night and Def Jam: ICON it was also announced the new Marvel fighter will be officially licensed by Marvel.
