XboxLive. The creators and writers of Adult Swim’s Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Matt Maiellaro and Dave Willis, will drop their comedic pencils for a controller to face viewers on Xbox Live as part of the latest Xbox Live Game with Fame session. Xbox Live Gold members interested in challenging the writers in UNO for Xbox Live Arcade should watch for the gamertag ATHFGWF from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. EDT on Tuesday, April 24, 2007.

The random, witty plot of “ATHF” follows the adventures of Meatwad, a meatball; Frylock; a floating order of fries; and Master Shake, a milkshake. Released April 13, “Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie Film for Theaters” is an action-adventure epic that reveals the mysterious origins of Meatwad, Frylock and Master Shake. When an immortal piece of exercise equipment threatens the balance of galactic peace, it is up to the Aqua Teen Hunger Force to run away from it. Peril escalates when the Plutonians team up with the Cybernetic Ghost of Christmas Past to strive for ultimate control of the sinister and deadly device.

Not caught up on the action, or merely can’t get enough? Episodes of season three of “Aqua Teen Hunger Force,” as well as gamer pics, are available for sale on Xbox LIVE Marketplace. The “ATHF” movie trailer is also downloadable in HD.

Willis’ work in entertainment began with creating short films, working as a local production assistant, and creating graphic artwork for his aunt and uncle’s software company through high school and college. He began working at Cartoon Network under Andy Merrill’s tutelage and moved up through the ranks until he became the producer of “Space Ghost Coast to Coast.” There he met his writing partner Maiellaro. They pitched “Aqua Teen Hunger Force,” basing it on three talking fast-food products that appeared in a never-produced “Space Ghost” episode. Cartoon Network miraculously approved the almost unexplainable show, which has now become the most popular “Adult Swim” original.

Maiellaro began his career in entertainment working at the movie theaters and later at WSRE-TV, a public television station based at Pensacola Junior College. In 1988, he moved to Atlanta to begin an entry-level job at TBS answering viewer mail. He quit a year and a half later and became a production assistant for the movie “Darkman.” He then became assistant director for the movies “Hellraiser III,” “Basketcase 3,” “Children of the Corn II,” “Ruby in Paradise,” “Mr. McAllister’s Cigarette Holder,” “Ring of Steel” and “Kleptomania.” In 1993, he returned to Atlanta to begin writing for “Space Ghost Coast to Coast.” There he met Willis, with whom he created “Aqua Teen Hunger Force.”
