XboxLive.Beginning March 1, Xbox Live members can download exclusive Modest Mouse content from Xbox Live Marketplace to their Xbox 360 console, including music videos, Dashboard and behind-the-scenes footage of the band.

Rock band Modest Mouse was formed in 1993 by vocalist/guitarist Isaac Brock, bassist Eric Judy and drummer Jeremiah Green in Issaquah, Wash. The trio released “The Fruit That Ate Itself” in 1997; its follow-up from later that year, “The Lonesome Crowded West,” was the band’s breakthrough. The rarities collection, “Building Nothing out of Something,” appeared in early 2000, followed later that year by their Epic Records debut, “The Moon & Antarctica.”

The new Modest Mouse album, “We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank,” is set for release on Epic Records on March 20. The new album was produced by Dennis Herring (“Good News for People Who Love Bad News”) and recorded in Oxford, Miss., at Sweet Tea studios and Portland, Ore., at Audio Alchemy. “We Were Dead” is the follow-up to the band’s 2004 album, “Good News For People Who Love Bad News,” which included the hit “Float On” and has sold more than 1.5 million copies and earned the band two Grammy nominations.
