Turn 10 Studios are ready to give gamers another dose of simulation racing with their new Xbox 360 title Forza Motorsport 2. This one will follow in the foot steps of its best selling predecessor in delivering the best real to life car driving experience. The developer is using every bit of the graphical horsepower and processing capabilities of the Xbox 360 to deliver a true next generation racing experience.

Fans can look forward to racing on a huge variety of race tracks including real world locations such as Laguna Seca and Road America. All of the 13 officially licensed tracks are replicated in painstaking detail to make them as authentic as possible. Including these tracks there will be a total 60 racing arenas to trade paint on.

In addition to the large library of tracks, there will be over 300 cars to choose from as you pursue your racing career. Players can burn rubber in dream cars such as the Chevrolet Corvette, Lamborghini Diablo and so many more from the world’s top car manufacturers. The developer is making every effort possible to make all of the digital replicas as real to life as possible on every detail.

Turn 10 has assembled a team of the top engineers, race car drivers and programmers to give this game the best physics simulation possible. The suspension on each car will respond appropriately to various bumps and dips found on the road. Players will also have to pay attention to the effects of heat on their tires and weight transfer along their car will affect its performance.

Xbox live will also play a large role in this title. Players will be able to face off with gamers from around world in fierce racing competitions. Also gamers will be able to advance their single-player career even as they speed shift against their friends online.

No modern day race game would be complete without a customization feature for its cars. Players will be able to fully pimp their rides out with a huge variety of accessories, decals, and paint schemes to apply to their vehicles.

The first title in this series was in instant success with Xbox owners and has left many of us craving more of the simulated racing we fell in love with. Judging by what has been released about the title thus far I think the developer is going to give us all we could want from a sequel and then some. The graphics power of the 360 is really shining through on this one. The cars and tracks are beautifully rendered in everything that we’ve seen so far. The screen shots and videos have also boasted some impressive partical effects where smoke and dust are concerned.

In terms of actual gameplay, I never thought it could get much better than the original Forza in terms of how the cars handled. However, all of the talk about new the physics the developer has mentioned has got me eager to see what kind of improvements they come up with. Forza 2 looks like it is shaping up to be a must have title for any hardcore racing fans out there.
