OnTheWeb.Online leaders GameTrailers and Xfire – the premier online destination for broadcast quality video game media and one of the fastest growing online gaming platforms and communities in the world, respectively – will be hosting online voting for two new video game related categories for this year’s MTV’s Video Music Awards.  Both divisions of MTV Networks will turn to their strong community of gamers to choose the winner of the “Best Video Game Soundtrack” and the “Best Video Game Score” awards.

Tune in to the “2006 MTV Video Music Awards,” airing from New York’s Radio City Music Hall, on Thursday, August 31st at 8:00pm ET/PT to catch all the VMA action.  Beyoncé, Panic! at the Disco, T.I. The Killers, Ludacris, and Justin Timberlake are set to perform at the star-studded awards show.
