Well for awhile when the games were sega NBA 2k’s Iverson was the cover athlete for multipul years but there were plenty of other people to pick they just wanted to get that name that people assoicate NBA too

well…it is good to hear that shaq will be the cover athlete of the nba 2k7…but it also thinks me…”shaquille o’neal” again??”…why should you just offer Kobe Bryant???…or Paul Pierce???….to be a new cover athlete for nba 2k7???…well i hope next nba 2k8, Paul Pierce will become the new cover athlete….sure boston will be the next to win the championship……

(just requesting…Paul Pierce for nba 2k8 cover athlete next season)
