Games FAQ – Will the Xbox or Xbox 360 play games from other consoles?
Xbox will not play games from any other console unless a mod chip is installed (which voids your warranty). The Xbox 360 will play, as of the information we have right now, most of the major Xbox titles in addition to the new Xbox 360 titles. All backwards compatibility has not been confirmed to our knowledge for all games.

My experience has been this: The 360 will play any and all XB original titles as long as it’s not from your personal collection. I have 23 original xb games, only 7 have been cleared to play on the 360. Don’t expect much.
