Games FAQ – How do I copy an Xbox or Xbox 360 game?

You cannot copy an Xbox game and have it run on an unmodified Xbox console. A mod chip would be required for this, which will void your Xbox warranty. In addition, if you copy a game that you do not legally own, you may be violating several copyright laws and be subject to penalties.

Information regarding copied Xbox 360 games is not yet available. In either case, the use of a copied game or modchip on the Xbox Live service will likely result in a ban from Xbox Live.

    @ David,
The logic in your new found way is flawed since you need the game disc each time you launch the game, MS is not dumb and wont allow people to just rip the game to thier 360’s without some copy protection.
