Games FAQ – Does the Xbox or Xbox 360 play PC Games?

The Xbox and Xbox 360 will not play PC games, unless they are re-released in the console format. A PC game CD or DVD will not work on the Xbox or Xbox 360.

However, with the addition of Windows Live, it is possible in the near future that certain game will be able to be played across the Xbox 360 and PC platform together.

    A good theory to think about is if a PC can play Xbox 360 and/or Xbox games.

    I don’t understand why people think its ridiculous to play xbox360 games on the pc i know of a module where you can play nintendo games on the pc so why is it so far fetched?

    @Jon,
    You can rig your PC (not that we approve) to play different games. This was the other way around playing PC titles in your Xbox/360.

    Why is it such a ridiculous idea?
    If someone could figure out how to reconfigure an xbox to play PC games – it would be a brilliant idea!

    If anything MS should definitely consider doing it…

    hey gays.. aaaa sorry, guys… I have a copy of quake 1, 2 and 3 working on my xbox! when I enter the options menu, the keys are set like this: walk forward: W, backpedal: S, strife left: A, strife right: D, fire: Left Mouse Button etc, but I use the right and left thumbsticks to move and look around and the right trigger to fire… so the games were ported from pc to xbox… you just need a program that converts the .exe (the pc executable file) to .xbe (the xbox executable file) or something like that…
