Electronic Arts shipped The Simsâ„¢ 2 Open for Business, the heavily anticipated expansion pack for the best-selling PC game, The Simsâ„¢ 2 to retailers around the globe today.
The Sims 2 Open for Business builds on The Sims 2 experience, which allows players to create and control characters called Sims. Now, players who own The Sims 2 can install The Sims 2 Open for Business expansion pack to access a whole new type of gameplay that takes Sims out of their homes, and allows them to flourish at their dream business.

Midway Games Inc. A leading interactive entertainment industry publisher and developer, announced today that Mortal Kombat®: Armageddon™, the final franchise installment on current generation systems featuring the most extensive cast of playable characters in the series to-date and an all-new create-a-fighter mode, is currently in development for the PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system and the Xbox® video game system from Microsoft. Mortal Kombat: Armageddon is expected to ship Fall 2006.

Turbine, Inc. announced today that Midway Home Entertainment Inc. (a subsidiary of Midway Games Inc.) will co-publish (along with Turbine) and distribute The Lord of the Rings Onlineâ„¢: Shadows of Angmarâ„¢ in North America. The Lord of the Rings Online is the world’s first and only massively multiplayer online (MMO) role playing game based upon the literary works of J.R.R. Tolkien.

It is no secret that I enjoy racing games and have enjoyed most of the ones that have recently come out. I also enjoy blowing stuff up. The trouble with most combat racers is they either offer great racing or great combat action – but rarely both. When news of Full Auto came out it sounded cool and the screen shots looked great. Who would not enjoy driving an old Chevy or a Jeep with front-mounted dual machine guns and rear mounted land mines?
