NovaLogic to Invade Detroit as Part of WWE’s Survivor Series
Entertainment software developer and global publisher NovaLogic, Inc. and its best-selling title Delta Force® Black Hawk Down® will be the title sponsor of World Wrestling Entertainment®’s Survivor Series pay-per-view, scheduled to take place at the Joe Louis arena in Detroit, Mich., on Sunday, November 27, 2005.
“We are thrilled to team up with the WWE,” stated Dave Pollack, NovaLogic’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “There is definitely a convergence in the audiences for NovaLogic video games and the WWE audience. This is a great opportunity to bring a product and brand like Delta Force — Black Hawk Down to the passionate fan base of the WWE.”
The best selling Delta Force — Black Hawk Down, rated “T for Teen” by the ESRB, features an expansive single player campaign, and breaks new ground in the multiplayer arena by allowing up to 50 players to battle over Xbox Live®, or up to 32 players on PlayStation®2 via GameSpy.
Survivor Series is the second oldest annual pay-per-view event in WWE’s history, after WrestleMania®. The event was originally held on Thanksgiving night from 1987 through 1990. Starting in 1991, WWE made the decision to host this event on Thanksgiving Eve. In 1995, it became a regular, Sunday-night pay-per-view. Survivor Series remains one of the signature events among WWE’s annual pay-per-view offerings.
