Electronic Arts announced today that NCAA® March Madness® 06, the strategic college hoops simulation featuring the all-new EA SPORTS™ Lockdown Stick, has shipped to retailers nationwide and is now available in stores under the EA SPORTS brand.

NCAA March Madness 06, which features Duke as the top-ranked team in the country as part of the EA SPORTS Top 25 in-game ranking system, delivers the ultimate strategic basketball experience with an even deeper playbook that covers both ends of the court. Players can now dominate rivals with an authentic brand of defense and push the ball on offense with an enhanced Floor General Playcalling system that features more sets than ever before. With the all-new EA SPORTS Lockdown Stick, defense creates offense by allowing players to pressure the ball, force turnovers and harass opponents on the court.

With former North Carolina Tar Heels star Raymond Felton on all packaging, NCAA March Madness 06 celebrates everything that makes college hoops unique, including cheerleaders, mascots, authentic fight songs, raucous fans and ESPN’s Dick Vitale and Brad Nessler calling all the action. Featuring an enhanced EA SPORTS Dynasty Modeâ„¢ and 10 new dream historical matchups in the popular College Classics mode, the Road to the Final Four® begins with NCAA March Madness 06.

Developed in Vancouver, B.C., by EA Canada, the studio which is also home to the popular NBA LIVE and NBA STREET franchises, NCAA March Madness 06 is available on the PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system and the Xbox® video game system from Microsoft and is rated “E” for Everyone by the ESRB.
