THQ Appoints Kelly Flock as Executive VP of Worldwide Publishing
THQ Inc. has announced the appointment of veteran video game industry executive Kelly Flock to the newly created position of executive vice president of worldwide publishing. In this role Flock will oversee the company’s publishing activities, including product strategy, marketing and sales.
Flock brings to THQ more than 20 years of publishing, sales, marketing and licensing experience in the video game industry, including having served as president and CEO of Sony Online Entertainment, president of 989 Studios, and president of Sony Interactive Studios America. Flock also served as general manager of LucasArts Entertainment Company where he managed the game division of Lucasfilm Ltd.
In his new role as executive vice president of worldwide publishing, Flock will report directly to Brian Farrell, president and CEO of THQ. Flock will join THQ later this month.
“Kelly has a proven record of bringing innovative products to market and building strong franchises,” Farrell said. “His experience and expertise will complement and add to a strong management team that has built THQ into a leading video game publisher. I am confident Kelly will play a key role in driving our continued growth and success.”
