According to some research performed by a games consultant Ernest Adams, women are about to take over the gaming industry in regards to Massively Multiplayer Online Games. For the most part, I agree with what he has said, but why does he limit this to only MMPOGs? In society the world is ruled by women, mainly with men leading in the business and political fields, but the women of the world lead with their checkbooks and purchasing decisions, so why make such a limiting statement? Who knows, anyhow, here is what was said:

Tom Clancy games have flooded the Xbox console over the years with its clever
single player gaming and entrancing Xbox Live online multiplayer experience, with
fantastic massive maps and jaw dropping landscapes. Intensely waiting for your opponent to pop out from around a bush to only pop them in the head quickly and sharply before you are spotted by their backup units has never lost its appeal over the years. Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter
is all about well thought out tactics and the requirement to have the patience of a saint. No
running in like a nutter, otherwise you will find yourself becoming a tasty
snack for the vultures as your corpse rots slowly after being slaughtered by
enemy fire… Yum. Read the rest of this entry

Gears of War was first seen as a demo of what the revolutionary Unreal 3 Engine with incredibly detailed visuals can perform. It was then revealed at E3 that it was from the Xbox 360 game, Gears of War. The game really stole the show, receiving everything from hype to awards. This was due to the exceptional graphics, innovative use of scenery and lighting, and just being different from most of the other games on the floor.

Dead Or Alive 4 is, as I’m sure you can figure out, the fourth installment in the much loved series from Tecmo’s own Team Ninja.
From what we’ve seen of the game so far, it sure doesn’t look set to disappoint. For starters, the game is visually phenomenal, boasting
an unprecedented level of detail that’s enough to make any gamer with eyes go weak at the knees and slack in the jaw department.
Just from the five-minute demo we were shown at E3 it’s clear that DOA4 will be there at launch to show what the Xbox 360 is capable
of right from the start.

Sit back and let me tell you a little story, go on just sit back and relax a bit. In 2001 Rare brought out one of the very last games for the Nintendo N64 system. At the time Rare was the golden boys for Nintendo, so they had a reputation for making hits and were known for their quality games. Then they released Conker’s Bad Fur Day. Nintendo was about to have a bad day themselves and they did not even see it coming. While the game had a cute wide-eyed character, “Conkerâ€, it was the first M (Mature) rated game ever released by Nintendo. The cute little squirrel turned out to be a drunken fouled mouth guy who poked fun at every hit movie at the time, even the television ads were too racy and needed to be edited. It also caused Nintendo to lose some of its sugar-coated reputation, quite possibly a good thing to some.

Fans of fighting games know that one of the most popular fighting game series of all time is Street Fighter. The fact the Xbox released the 15th Anniversary edition proves the game has fans on all platforms. The trouble with Street Fighter or games like Dead or Alive and Mortal Kombat is simple. While they have great graphics and now online play, the controls were based on the real arcade stick design and not the regular Xbox controller. So when trying to pull off that 15 move combo or another great move, at times gamers can get frustrated that the move did not work.
