Lifemode Interactive will preview their multi-platform 3D facial animation SDK solution at next week’s GDC in San Francisco, where they will show their new LifeStudio:HEAD technology for multi-platform game developers.

The long awaited LifeStudio:HEAD SDK now supports PlayStation 2, Xbox and Windows PC. The new multi-platform solutions will allow all game developers and 3D artists to create cutting edge facial animation for PlayStation 2 and Xbox games.

Lifemode’s Director of Production Alex Sychev said, “This is a really important development for facial animation artists. In the past year we have been working in conjunction with several top studios in the UK to develop a combined facial animation and lip-synching tool for developers to create very believable characters in PlayStation 2 game titles and the Xbox video game system from Microsoft. Our multi-platform technology will now be available to over 90% of the video games market”.

LIFESTUDIO:HEAD 2.6 SDK is a real-time non-linear technology that include a comprehensive library of character templates and tools for easy modeling, realistic texturing, automated lip-synch, and many other facial animation features, and also supports export-import plug-ins with 3ds Max and Maya packages.

At GDC, Lifemode will demonstrate their multi-platform SDK solutions ahead of the launch date in April.

GDC opens its doors from 9th-11th March, for information please visit www.gdconf.com.
