that it would be publishing the highly anticipated World Snooker Championship
2005® for the PlayStation 2 , PC, Xbox and Sony’s portable PlayStation,

London, 28th January 2005 — Xbox today announced that it has smashed through
an important milestone in Europe, selling five million consoles since the European
launch in March 2002.
Second-quarter financial results announced by Microsoft show that Xbox has
sold 5.0 million consoles life-to-date in Europe up to 31st December 2004. A
steady stream of fantastic-value offers at retail throughout the year, the limited
edition Crystal Console, Xbox Live consistently setting new standards for online
gaming and blockbuster titles like Halo 2 (Microsoft Game Studios), Fable (Lionhead
Studios) and FIFA Football 2005 (EA SPORTS) made Xbox an irresistible choice
for gamers in Europe.

Server and Tools and Home and Entertainment Drive Record Results
REDMOND, Wash. – Jan. 27, 2005 – Microsoft Corp. today announced record revenue
of $10.82 billion for the quarter ended December 31, 2004, a 7% increase over
the results in the same period of the prior year. Operating income for the second
quarter was $4.75 billion, which was an increase of $3.27 billion over the same
period in the prior year. The results of the second quarter of the prior year
included $2.21 billion in compensation expense incurred in connection with the
Employee Stock Option Transfer Program. Net income for the second quarter was
$3.46 billion. Diluted earnings per share exceeded the company’s guidance by
$0.04 and were $0.32 including stock-based compensation expense.

State-of-the-Art Street Racer to Feature New Additions and Upgrades
CALABASAS HILLS, Calif., Jan 27, 2005 – THQ Inc. (Nasdaq: THQI) today announced
that substantial upgrades to the highly anticipated street racer, Juiced, will
be completed for the games’ release in May 2005 for the PlayStation® 2 computer
entertainment system, the Xbox® videogame system from Microsoft and PC.
Since acquiring the rights to Juiced in late 2004, THQ has worked closely with
developer Juice Games to fine-tune game play elements such as handling and sense
of speed, while dramatically enhancing the all-around racing experience with

Over the decades, Star Wars games have been in abundance. In fact, there have probably been enough to actually create a separate genre for them all.
