Sorrent, Inc., a leading creator and global publisher of mobile entertainment,
today announced the launch of the award-winning Deer Hunter(TM) for mobile,
a wireless game based on Atari’s Deer Hunter(TM) franchise. Critically acclaimed
with high marks from both GameSpot and IGN.com, and winner of IGN.com’s Editor’s
Choice award, Deer Hunter for mobile is the ideal blend of easy-to-understand
game play and difficult-to-master hunting techniques.

“Deer Hunter for mobile includes some of the most cutting edge gameplay
seen on the mobile platform to date and is truly consistent with the PC and
console versions of the game,” said Robert Nashak, vice president of production,
Sorrent. “Our internal production team has created a high-caliber game
that has been recognized by the critics.”

Deer Hunter for mobile has been well received by industry media, with praise
including:

– “This game is worth checking out for its presentation alone, but when
you factor in the nuanced, subtle gameplay, it becomes a can’t-miss offering,”
wrote Steve Palley of GameSpot.com, where the game received a score of 8.6.

– Deer Hunter is “…proof of Sorrent’s incredible talent,” reported
Levi Buchanan of IGN.com, where the game received a score of 8.2 and was awarded
Editor’s Choice.

With Deer Hunter for mobile, gamers can hunt whitetail, black tail and mule deer
in three of the best hunting locations in North America. Several features of the
game include context-sensitive hunting tips and guidance during game play, ensuring
that any level of hunter can become an expert; selection from two modes of game
play, either the instantly rewarding “Quick Hunt” mode or the extensive
and challenging “Hunting Trip” mode; the virtual Trophy Room, featuring
images, point-size and score per buck, where gamers can save their top deer; and
a variety of firearms, from rifles to bows. Exceptional graphics and effects of
the game include zoomed targeting, moving clouds, and the ability to hunt in various
seasons, from the heat of summer to snowy winters.

“Once again, Sorrent has surpassed our expectations in bringing an Atari
title to the mobile platform,” said Wim Stocks, EVP of sales and marketing
for Atari, Inc. “With Sorrent’s demonstrated ability to publish compelling
games for cell phones, we were confident that the result would be engaging game
play true to the console version.”

The Deer Hunter franchise is considered the most realistic, accurate and engaging
deer hunting game in the market. Deer Hunter has been the leading hunting brand
since 1997 and has sold more than 4.6 million games through 2003.
