Official Hurricane Pack II Announcement

TORRANCE, Calif., September 24, 2004 Tecmo® and Xbox Live announced today
their plans for a third and final Master Ninja Tournament beginning
September 27, 2004. Setting the stage for the final 3-week long online
tournament will be the new and challenging Hurricane Pack: Volume II,
available through Xbox Live. The new Hurricane Pack: Volume II, launching at
the same time as the tournament, will pose a new challenge for tournament
participants with evolved monsters, enemies equipped with new weapons, and
new “shadow” enemies that will attack with fierce never before seen skills.

Xbox Named Official Console Of FIFA World Cup

Microsoft Corp. has signed a sponsorship deal with Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA), soccer’s world governing body, that will make its Xbox gaming console the official console of the 2006 FIFA World Cup, the company said Friday.

Full Spectrum Warrior DLC Coming Soon

September 22, 2004 – During the launch of Full Spectrum Warrior, THQ and Pandemic officially announced they would launch additional downloadable levels for Xbox in the future. The future is almost here. Come Monday, October 4, fans of the original game can download a single independent level for $4.99 to their Xbox consoles, with a second downloadable level available approximately one month after. Both levels are included in the upcoming PC version, which shipped to retail stores yesterday.

Fable Smashes Sales

Microsoft Game Studios today announced that Fable, the ground-breaking Xbox® roleplaying adventure game, has had an amazing start at retailers across North America in its first week of release, breaking records and selling through more than 375,000 units (grossing roughly $18.7 million U.S.). Fable sets the stage for a spectacular holiday season for Microsoft Game Studios by paving the way for titles such as Halo 2, Blinx 2 and MechAssault 2. Sales records are being broken at retailers throughout North America: the game was EB Games’ biggest first-week sales for any Xbox title ever; it broke Game Rush’s first-day sales record for any game; it is the No. 1-selling overall title on any platform last week at GameStop and is the fastest-selling Xbox game at EB Games Canada for the first week. Fable even grossed more money than the No. 1 box office movie last week, Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow.

Vivendi Universal Games and 2015 Inc. announced today that the Xbox version
of their upcoming first-person action game Men of Valor has gone gold and will
ship to retail stores in the United States on October 19th. The game will be
released on the PC platform on October 26th.

Midway’s Fear and Respect to Hit the Big Screen

Paramount Pictures has reached an agreement to acquire the worldwide film rights
to Midway Games’ “Fear & Respect,” a state-of-the-art
videogame based in the intense urban environment of South Central Los Angeles.
Currently being developed in collaboration with writer/director John Singleton
(“Boyz N the Hood,” “Baby Boy,” “2 Fast 2 Furious,”
“Shaft”
), the exciting urban/action adventure game is scheduled
to be available in the fourth quarter of 2005 for the PlayStation®2 computer
entertainment system and the Xbox® video game system from Microsoft. Christine
Peters (“How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days”) will be collaborating
