First
Person Shooters is one of the oldest genres as old as video gaming itself and
has evolved from pixilated 2D monsters in the original Doom to spectacular light
shows in Unreal 2004. Easy to get into hard to master, quick reflexes and knowledge
of every corner of the map is a must to stay on top of the scoreboard at the
end of the round. However while FPS could break out into intense heart pounding
battles they can also be a perfect way to spend some quality time with your
family on a Sunday afternoon. Almost any FPS that comes out has multiplayer
support for up to 16 players which means fun for the whole family.

As the name First Person Shooter would indicate FPS games have a lot of violence
in them, it’s all part of the game. As long as you spend the time with
your children and let them know that it’s a game, you should do just fine.
Be sure to check the back of the box for indicators of language and graphics
if you would like to be cautious. Otherwise, game on!

That’s right little Tommy, now your Mommy has a rocket launcher, you
should have listened to her when she asked you to make your bed this morning,
well it’s too late now. Plug in those controllers and let’s go blast
all those negative emotions away with some of the most exciting first person
shooters to grace the Xbox.

like going to bed feeling terrified. Doom experience has been finally brought
to the Xbox and has been already put on many gamers Christmas wish list. Following
the path of its predecessors Doom 3 is promising to be an intense and horrifying
action packed FPS. Imagine walking through the dark corridor all alone it’s
all quiet and suddenly you hear something behind you. You turn around and you

breath quickens, and you try to find the source of the shadow – suddenly out
of nowhere a zombie jumps right in front of you. Make sure to keep that shotgun

this sequel you will be able to drive various vehicles ranging from an all terrain
buggy to speed boats. This may very well be the most technically advanced game

Yes Conker is back followed by all the humor that he is known for and is loaded
with tons of new exciting features. First up is its Xbox Live support featuring
cooperative game play so you’ll no longer have to take on the games challenges
alone and will also have someone by your side to share all the games humorous
moments with. The games light atmosphere is what sets this shooter apart. This
is a perfect game for the whole family. Players will also get to experience
remade specifically for the Xbox the old “Conker’s Bad Fur Day”
with impressive new visuals.

Rainbow Six 3: The Black Arrow
This upcoming title from the widely popular Rainbow Six franchise was designed
so that it would be easy to get into for newcomers and it will offer plenty
of challenges to the hardcore series fans. The game features some old and some
new game play modes such as capture the flag type of mode called Retrieval and
domination like mode called Capture the Point. In any mode the game challenges
players to use tactics and always think three steps ahead while watching each
others backs. The game puts heavy focus on tactical teamwork which is really
cool over Xbox Live. The game makes the player think slowly but act quickly
in various situations just like real world tactical squads would do.

We have tackled just some of the FPS from Xbox’s already impressive library,
