Internap Picked By GameWyze for High-Performance IP Service; Online Interactive
Gamers Demand High Speed and Low Latency

Internap® Network Services Corporation, the leading provider of performance-based
routing technology over the Internet, announced today that GameWyze, Ltd., a
Plano-TX-based operator and franchiser of retail interactive gaming centers,
has signed a multi-store contract for high-speed Internet connectivity service
provided by Internap.

Founded in 2002, GameWyze currently operates retail gaming outlets in Dallas
and Plano, TX. The company plans to franchise its operations in the U.S. and
add smaller, low-cost gaming kiosks in high-traffic areas such as theater lobbies
and shopping malls.

“About 75 percent of the people who come into our stores compete with
other teams in New York, or Korea, or other locations around the world,”
noted Daniel Powell, president of GameWyze. “The two most important things
to them are uptime and latency. In the gaming world, when a player is maneuvering
against another player, the one-tenth of a second that your computer is able
to process quicker makes a huge difference.”

Powell said customers have commented favorably about the responsiveness of
the store’s Internet connections. “It’s the speed and efficiency they like
when they’re competing online,” he continued. “At the end of the day,
that’s the difference between winning and losing. Our move to Internap has been
a very good change for GameWyze players. It’s key to our customers feeling that
our service makes a big difference in their gaming performance.”

“The demand by gaming enthusiasts for a highly reliable, highly responsive
network with low latency is an ideal opportunity for Internap, as these applications
help to demonstrate the unique strengths of Internap’s intelligent route control
technology,” said Dave Abrahamson, vice president of sales and chief marketing
officer at Internap. “Our technology, applied to the gaming industry, highlights
Internap’s demonstrated leadership in delivering IP performance that can support
a whole host of QoS enabled solutions for business.”

According to industry research firm IDC, the North American market for downloadable,
online games is expected to grow from $52.7 million in 2003 to more than $760
million in 2007, driven by a growing demographic for online gamers and the availability
of broadband services. The number of online gamers in North America is expected
to grow from 1.9 million in 2003 to 6.2 million in 2007.

Under the agreement between Internap and GameWyze, Internap will provide high-speed
connections to as many as 50 GameWyze stores, where customers can play a variety
of cutting-edge interactive games against competitors around the world on Microsoft
XBOX, Sony PlayStation and Nintendo GameCube systems. Customers
can use a GameWyze gaming system for an hourly rate or an all-day rate. The
company frequently hosts weekend gaming tournaments and other competitive contests.

GameWyze joins a growing number of other leading gaming and entertainment companies,
such as Mattel, Game Colony, Game Logic, Three Rings, Lucky Surf.com, Playnet,
Nuclear Fallout, Sony Online Entertainment, Turbine Entertainment Software,
Gas Powered Games, Real Time Gaming, WMS Gaming, Microsoft, and others that
rely on Internap’s intelligent route control technologies.
