The Xbox is due to get a double dose of 2D fighting this year, Famitsu Weekly reports, Guilty Gear & SVC Chaos will both be playable on Xbox Live. As part of their Xbox-publishing partnership, Sammy will be porting its arcade game, Guilty Gear XX #Reload to Microsoft’s system, while SNK Playmore is porting its latest MVS hit, SVC Chaos.
#Reload, coming to Xbox in Japan this April, is an upgraded version of Guilty Gear X2, which was released in the United States. #Reload adds several balance adjustments and makes Robo Ky available as one of the default playable characters. The Xbox version will add a new single-player story mode and a new gallery mode — both of these are original and exclusive to the Xbox version — as well as Xbox Live support.
Details on SVC Chaos are fewer, and SNK Playmore has yet to give the Xbox version a release date beyond “to be announced.” However, like #Reload, it will feature head-to-head gameplay on Xbox Live.
