Zrion Steals the Votes and Is Named Featured Member 12/03
Ever
since Gameman debuted as the first ever XBS Featured Member everyone has been
anticipating who will take the throne. Who has stepped up to the plate and taken
the forums by storm with intellectual, fun, and interesting topics?
Tough one, hmmm . . . let me get back to you on that one! In all seriousness
the staff at XBS have a tough go deciding who will take over the crown and be
named featured member, Gronar even got into a fist fight over it (with himself,
but none the less, it was brutal). When all was said and done it had to go to
Zrion, our friend from across the pond and racing pal. Yep, the females win
again! So read on to learn a bit more about Zrion . . .
Why XboxSolution.com?
I was looking for the PS2solution.com website and got lost! No, in all truthfulness
its a great site, with up to date news not just on xbox but on anything to
do with gaming. It also has a fantastic forum were the members are the absolute
best…Now where’s the Exit??
Favorite part of XBS?
The news sections, which is responsible for keeping me up to date with the
gaming world. The forums where I’ve met new people and made new friends. The
LIVE games that get set up – thanks to those I no longer know what time it
is in the UK – its a lag. Also, if anything I’d say the best thing about XBS is the Admins, Mods and
members that keep the site alive and running.
As a female, what is your position on the generalization
that video gamers are mostly males?
Serious question, requires serious answer.
I don’t know how other women gamers feel, I’m speaking for myself here and
to hear that it is unusual for a female to play games is insulting. The general
conception is women can’t play or are not interested in playing video games,
its a mans world, but this conception comes from the articles I read in game
magazines and the internet.I live in a world where I can talk about games with my male and female friends,
without being ridiculed or judged as trying to become a male! – I’m not gay,
simply, I just love playing games and I’m not the only one, I have a lot of
female friends who also play games (they all own the PS2 though – damb them).
As I’m not the only female gamer I know, that has helped me to understand
that although this is a male dominated genra there is nothing wrong with me
being apart of that. Hell, if my 53 year old mother can play Mario then why
can’t I?On this note, I want to thank XBS members for accepting that, I was wary
about what you’d think, but in this day and age amongst the younger generation
its an acceptable thing – Thanks.
Any New Year’s resolutions?
I didn’t make one this year because I’m still trying to achieve last years
resolution which was to quit smoking – I’m down to 8 a day, last year I was
on 9 a day – so I’m getting there.
Any Xbox titles you feel are underrated, if
so what title and why?
Halo, I don’t think its received enough attention!
What would you like to see as a topic on an article
on XboxSolution?
You’ve raised an interesting question, an article on women gamers.
Anyone you would like to nominate for next months
featured member?
Cassidy or Viper’s cake.
Seriously, No, I don’t want to hurt anyone’s feeling, there are a few I feel
deserve it though, like Rockk, Viper 776, Hughes – crap I answered it. *Zrion,
you twit*I want to put a request in to get Gman’s name in bold though – he deserves
it with the amount of daily news and funnies he posts. Its a little thing
which stands out.
What is your favorite Xbox title?
At the moment. R63 and PGR2. Of all time, I’d have to say splinter cell.
I was chuffed with the amount of patience I had with that game, it was intense,
exciting, intelligent, story line was brill and the game controls were easy
– an all round great game. . . and you thought I was gonna say Halo.
Favorite XBL title? If different.
Can I have 2? yes, thanks, R63 and PGR 2
How did you get into gaming?
I owe it all to my mum and brother, my mum brought my brother a commodore
64, I was about 6 years old and got into ”kung – fu – The way of the exploding
fist”, remember that? I’ll never forget it – having to load it from a cassette
deck! waiting 20mins or so for it to load! and thats where it all started. On my 11th birthday my mum and brother got me my very own SNES with mario
all-stars and Street fighter Turbo, loved it to bits till the N64 came out
– got into Goldeneye and Perfect Dark, couldn’t really find any other games
for it, went back to the SNES for abit!! worked hard, made money and bought
myself an XBox.I do wanna thank my brother though, and you’ve got to quote this bit if you
can – I stole his name! ‘Zrion’ was a name he created for his online Unreal
Tourny games on the PC – when I logged on to XBS – I was too tired to think
of an original name, my brother has a PS2, he would never log onto an Xbox
site, I thought – so I stole ‘Zrion’. The same happened with my LIVE gametag
– I was too tired – my brother is a PS2 fanboy he would never sign up to Xbox
LIVE – so I used Zrion again – I’m sorry bro, it will never happen again.
How long have you been gaming?
A very long time, not as long as Gman though
Whats your favorite non xbox title?
PS2 – Gran Turismo – I love this game and wish it was on the Xbox, I can
only play it when I’m staying at my brothers. Who lives 45mins away from me.PC – Freespace 2 – I spent a good 13months trying to complete the hard level
on this game – blew my mind.Nintendo – Goldeneye and Perfect Dark – nuff said

I’m stressed I’ll become a complete addict, if I’m happy and chilled – I’m
a casual gamer, play a good couple of hours a night or play on my days off
work.
Movie you would like to be turned into a game?
matrix, lord of the rings, mission impossible – *Zrion they already made
those games* Really, no, when? How about 8 mile – be the best rapper on the street, east Vs west, Bo selecta
– ‘which you’ll only get if you’ve seen Ali G’Escape from John Malkovich – a game I wanna play – Can you find a way out
of the great actors head?
