TV’s First Annual Video Game Awards – Dec. 4, 2003–THQ Inc. and JAKKS Pacific, Inc. today announced that “WWEâ„¢
SmackDown!â„¢ Here Comes the Pain!â„¢”
won the “Best
Fighting Game” award at Spike TV’s first annual Video
Game Awards show held Tuesday evening at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, NV. Developed
by Yuke’s Co., Ltd. of Japan, “WWE SmackDown! Here Comes the Pain!”
beat out other fighting category nominees SoulCaliber® II and Def Jam Vendetta™.
The award show will be televised on Spike TV tonight at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
