THQ Signs with Warner Bros. for ‘The Polar Express’ Multi-Platform
THQ Inc. today announced a worldwide agreement with Warner Bros. Consumer Products
naming THQ the interactive game licensee for the upcoming animated movie adaptation
of the internationally acclaimed children’s book, “The Polar Express.”
THQ’s multi-platform agreement with Warner Bros. Consumer Products includes video
games for console, PC and Game Boy Advance systems scheduled for release at Holiday
2004.

for Warner Bros. Pictures’ “The Polar Express,” brought to life in
full CG animation through Sony Imageworks’ next-generation motion capture process
that allows live-action performances to drive the emotions and movements of
the digital characters. One of the most widely-held children’s books in US libraries,
“The Polar Express” has been awarded the Caldecott Medal for the most
distinguished American picture book for children, acclaimed by The New York
Times as one of the Ten Best Illustrated Children’s Books, and recognized by
the NEA as both a Top100 kids’ book and a top 100 teachers’ book.
