FOCUS Enhancements’ FS454 low-cost, broadcast quality TV-Out processor is now
shipping to Microsoft for use in Xbox video game systems.

The FS454 allows systems to connect to virtually all FS454: Standard Definition
television (SDTV) and High Definition television (HDTV) formats, worldwide.
Introduced in August 2002, FOCUS Enhancements’ FS454 chip consumes less power
and generates less heat than similar devices, plus it provides aggressive power
control modes for use in notebook PCs. The FS454 provides the globally implemented
Macrovision 7.1 DVD anti-copy protection technology in the encoder for all TV
outputs, including protection for 480p, progressive component output.
